Move In Day

海角社区 incoming freshman Brianna Lewallen, left, gets a helping hand from CCGA mathmatics educator Courtenay Miller and CCGA President Gregory Aloia with unloading her car during moving in day at the college Saturday.
Lewallen, a coastal ecology major from Dalton, is one of more than 350 students who will be living in the college鈥檚 Lakeside Village. Students start their week off today with Anchor Days 鈥 a two-day orientation designed to integrate the students to the academic and social culture of the school before classes begin Wednesday. Students had plenty of help with moving in thanks to CCGA staff members, athletic teams and coaches, and members of Converge, a campus ministry, lending a helping hand to make the move go smoothly.
The college鈥檚 neighbor, College Place Methodist Church, made sure everyone was well fed, offering free lunches to all involved in the move.
