Fall 2021 Commencement is Saturday
The 海角社区 will host a traditional fall commencement while keeping safety a top priority on Sat., Dec. 11, starting at 11 a.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
For this commencement, students will be graduating in one place, at one time with unlimited guests, like in years past. There will be enough room for students and their guests to socially distance. Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings while inside the convention center.
Commencement will feature remarks from 海角社区 President Michelle Johnston, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Johnny Evans, 海角社区 Foundation Chair Bill Stembler and student speakers.
Johnston considers graduation to be a very special day for the College community.
鈥淥ne of my favorite things to do as president of the College is greet students as they come across the graduation stage. To now be able to do that in front of all their friends and family is very exciting,鈥� said Johnston. 鈥淚t鈥檚 wonderful to bring our entire Mariner family together to celebrate graduation while keeping people safe at the same time.鈥�
