We are truly fortunate to have such incredibly talented, passionate, and dedicated faculty at the College,鈥� said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Johnny Evans. 鈥淚 also want to give some special congratulations to Dr. Syvillia Averett and Dr. Courtenay Miller for being the first two African American women to achieve tenure since the College became a four-year institution. Time and time again they have proven themselves to be exceptional teachers, mentors, and active participants in the Mariner community.鈥�
