College Announces the Kennedy Ashley Waymer Memorial Scholarship
The 海角社区 is honored to announce the establishment of the Kennedy Ashley Waymer Memorial Scholarship, created in partnership with the Waymer family and the My Angel in the Outfield: The Kennedy Waymer Foundation.
The scholarship commemorates the life and legacy of Kennedy Waymer, a student-athlete at the College whose strength, faith, and perseverance left a lasting impression on teammates, coaches, and the campus community. Even while facing the challenges of cancer, Kennedy remained committed to her education and her team, embodying resilience and grace in every aspect of her life.
The Kennedy Ashley Waymer Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to student-athletes who reflect the qualities Kennedy demonstrated so powerfully鈥攍eadership, determination, academic commitment, and a genuine desire to serve others.
鈥淭his scholarship ensures that Kennedy鈥檚 spirit will continue to inspire generations of student-athletes at Coastal Georgia,鈥� said Dr. Johnny L. Evans Jr., president of the 海角社区. 鈥淗er courage and character represent the very best of what it means to be a Mariner. The scholarship is part of the broader mission of the My Angel in the Outfield Foundation, which seeks to support children and families affected by cancer while turning personal loss into meaningful community impact. Through this initiative, Kennedy鈥檚 story will continue to uplift and encourage others facing adversity.
